On September 15th, the third season of the reality show “BBQ Brasil – Churrasco na Brasa”, a barbecue competition, premiered on SBT. The attraction is a Brazilian version of the English format “BBQ – Champ“, shown on the ITV channel. The reality show was all recorded in a structure set up over a swimming pool, at CDT Anhanguera and, this time, entirely produced by SBT, as it guaranteed the brand rights. Directed by Marcelo Kestenbaum, this season, the program brought more news.

The first was that, for the first time in BBQ Brasil, the program started with 7 female participants and 7 male participants. And already in the first episode, the competition heated up with the dispute of 4 barbecues for only two spots that are still available. “Besides being good grillers, the participants had to be good players”, revealed director Marcelo Kestenbaum. That's why the tests were more difficult and competitive.

Among them, different tests, such as roasting the meat inside a car, on top of a bicycle, inside the pool and even with just one hand. “All the competitors have a different, very striking personality and during these competitions, competitiveness became more apparent and the conflict sharpened”, said Kestenbaum.
